Aubrey O. Dicus, Jr. is a senior shareholder of Battaglia, Ross, Dicus & Wein, P.A. Mr. Dicus has over 25 years of litigation experience.
Upon graduation from Emory University with a degree in Economics, Mr. Dicus attended Stetson Law School from 1971-1974. He joined partners Anthony S. Battaglia and Howard P. Ross in 1974. He is presently a member of the Executive Committee.
Mr. Dicus' litigation practice has been multifaceted. His criminal litigation has involved everything from capital murder cases to substantial white-collar crime representation. His personal injury practice involved automobile accident cases, products liability and significant medical malpractice claims. His civil litigation cases have involved complex commercial contract litigation, extensive probate and estate litigation and class action anti-trust matters from both Plaintiff and Defense perspectives. Commercial litigation has involved successful multimillion- dollar claims. Mr. Dicus has represented government agencies including the Pinellas County Sheriff's Department and municipalities in government related litigation.
Mr. Dicus is highly respected in his legal community and has served its local Bar in several capacities. Mr. Dicus is a past President of The St. Petersburg Bar Association. He has been President of the Pinellas County Criminal Defense Lawyers' Association. He served as a founding member of the Board of Directors of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Mr. Dicus was selected and served as Master of the Bench with the American Inns of Court Foundation, Pinellas County, Chapter.
He is an active member in the Tampa Bay community and has served in the Chamber of Commerce. He was appointed by the Governor of Florida as the Governor's Representative on the Committee Development Corporation, Neighborhood Housing Services, Inc. He also serves on the Pinellas Emergency Mental Health Services Advisory Board and Finance Committee.
