Anthony S. Battaglia founded the law firm in 1958. Today, the firm is one of the oldest in West Central Florida and has a reputation modeled after Anthony Battaglia's aggressive and intellectual approach to the practice of law coupled with his commitment to clients and resolution to solving their problems. Mr. Battaglia has over 48 years of litigation experience.
Approximately 80% of Anthony's practice is in the area of Civil Litigation, Corporate or Real Estate. However, much of his reputation as one of the best lawyers in America has been formulated due to the success that he has enjoyed in high visibility criminal cases. His expertise in Bank Fraud cases is documented by the numerous acquittals he has won for his clients. Since 1995, he has been listed in Best Lawyers in America by Woodward and White Publications.
Mr. Battaglia has served as a member of the Republican National Committee for Florida, 1956-1964. As a member of the Florida Bar Board of Governors, Mr. Battaglia has strongly endorsed raising the standards of professionalism and conduct amongst the members of the Florida Bar.
Mr. Battaglia has also served as President of the St. Petersburg Bar Association and is past President of the U.S. Attorneys Association of the Middle District of Florida. Mr. Battaglia served as Chairman of the Federal District Courthouse for St. Petersburg and on the Judicial Nomination Committee of the Sixth Judicial Circuit.
Mr. Battaglia's litigation practice has been exceptionally diverse and includes major decision in the cases of Sheriff John Short and Representative Richard Kelly to acquittals in numerous bank fraud cases. Mr. Battaglia has represented major corporations and institutions in both the Federal and State Court Systems. Mr. Battaglia has been asked on numerous occasions to chair special committees and to lend his expertise and support to local, state and national projects.
Since graduation from the University of Florida Law School, Anthony S. Battaglia dedicated his life to the practice of law and representing the citizens and corporations throughout the State of Florida.
