Edwin B. Jagger is a shareholder with Battaglia, Ross, Dicus and Wein, P.A., practicing in the areas of business law, IRS controversy, estate and tax planning, real estate, wills, probate, guardianships, estate and trust administration, and related litigation and contests. Mr. Jagger received his B.S.B.A. in business law from Western Carolina University, his J.D. from Stetson University College of Law,and his LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Miami School of Law. Mr. Jagger is licensed to practice law before all courts in the State of Florida, as well as various Federal Courts including the United States Tax Court.

Mr. Jagger was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida, and is the son of long-time Public Defender Robert E. Jagger. He is a graduate of Boca Ciega High School in St. Petersburg and went on to attend Western Carolina University in North Carolina on a tennis scholarship. While in college, Mr. Jagger was voted Who's Who Among America's College and University Students.

Mr. Jagger began his legal career as a summer intern in college for Pinellas County Chief Judge Susan Schaeffer. During Mr. Jagger's second year in law school at Stetson, he was hired by the firm to serve as Anthony Battaglia's law clerk to assist him in complex federal litigation matters. Mr. Jagger continued in that capacity through his graduation from law school, when he was offered an associate attorney position with the firm. During that time, Mr. Jagger worked and mentored under the senior shareholders in the firm in general civil litigation, as well as serving as support to the firm's corporate, tax, probate, and trust department.

A few years later Mr. Jagger accepted a partnership interest in the firm and became the firm's youngest shareholder, at the time, at age 31. Shortly thereafter, the firm named Mr. Jagger to chair its tax, probate, estate and trust department, where he remains today. Mr. Jagger has managed and built this department into one of the busiest estate planning and probate practices in St. Petersburg, serving over 2,000 of the firm's will and trust clients, as well as providing counsel to many corporations and prominent business persons throughout Pinellas County. Mr. Jagger has been appointed by both private individuals and the courts to serve as personal representative (executor) and/or trustee of many significant estates and trusts.

Mr. Jagger is frequently requested by financial, banking, and trust organizations to speak to their clients on the topic of estate planning, and often lectures and gives workshops for other professionals in the areas of taxation, probate, trust and estate planning, and related litigation issues. As well, Mr. Jagger sits in a volunteer capacity on the board of directors (or advisory committee) for several Florida Not-For-Profit corporations.

Mr. Jagger has now practiced with the firm for over 10 years. He resides in Seminole, Florida with his wife, Melissa, and their one son, Jacob.
