Mark P. Stopa is an Associate with the firm practicing in the areas of appellate, criminal and civil litigation. His practice currently concentrates on criminal defense and general civil litigation. Mark works closely with Anthony Battaglia, Chairman of the Board, Timothy Weber, Shareholder, and Stephen Wein, Vice President and Treasurer of the firm

Mr. Stopa graduated from the University of Florida College of Law in 2001. While at the College of law Mark was a Research Assistant for various Professors and a Teaching Assistant for Legal Research and Writing and Appellate Advocacy classes. In the fall of 2001 he successfully completed Trial Practice and an intensive Mediation Clinic and, as a result of the latter, is currently awaiting Florida Supreme Court certification as a County Court Mediator.

During the summer of 2001, Mark was an intern for Justice Quince of the Florida Supreme Court, furthering his interest in appellate law. Before that, Mark was a clerk for a civil litigation firm in Fort Myers where he gained extensive experience in case management, mediation and trial preparation.

He attained honors during six different semesters before graduating cum laude. In some circles, Mark maybe best known for his leadership role in helping to correct the injustices and lack of professionalism that had plagued the University of Florida College of Law's Justice Thornal Campbell Moot Court team in the fall of 2000.

Mark was raised in the Northeast. At age 16, he relocated to Florida and began his enrollment at a community college in Fort Myers while in high school. Mark later graduated, cum laude, with a Bachelor of Arts in both Economics and Psychology from Wake Forest University in 1998.

Mark is married to Adrienne, a St. Petersburg resident and student at Stetson University College of Law.
